İbrahim Nakıboğlu, who received the award in the celebrations of the 20th anniversary of the foundation of ASD for Naksan Plastik which is a leading producer in Plastics and Packaging Industry, gave a speech of acknowledgment afterwards: “It’s a great honor on our part to receive the Award of Gratitude of ASD. As is known, the packaging sector is rapidly growing and targeting an export volume of 10 billion dollars for the year 2023. We are one of the leading firms of the sector with the desire to aid its development and thus contribute to national economy.”
Sadettin Korkut, the Chairman of Board of the Packaging Industrialists Association (ASD) and the Managing Director of Naksan Plastik, stating that they were going to serve the sector with everlasting passion and dedication, went on to say that they were planning to start a Packaging Museum and an Specialized Industrial Zone of Plastics in an appropriate location. Besides, Mr. Korkut expressed their intentions of increasing the efforts on strengthening the public image of packaging and thus reaching a total sales volume of 30 billion dollars (of which 10 billion dollars are allocated to export) in the year 2023; that is the 100th anniversary of the Foundation of Turkish Republic.

MP Erdoğan, always participating in the introduction and opening of education projects and never refraining from supporting them despite his busy pace, stated that the platelet was one of the most meaningful awards he has received so far: “We are well aware of the service Nakıboğlu Family pays to Gaziantep and to our country and support them wholeheartedly. I’m honored to be here today; at this bazaar organized for a noble cause by the Gökkuşağı (Rainbow) Association. I’m very happy to be present at such an organization and opening of bazaar, though I’m quite busy. My sincere congratulations to all NGOs, the Rainbow Association above all, for supporting education. I’m a follower of Ms.Gülfer Nakıboğlu’s significant activities in this field. The bazaar organized today is an important step in assuring the future of thousands of intelligent and needy students. Once more I sincerely congratulate the president and the administrators of the Association.”

Chairman of Board of Naksan Plastik,Osman Nakıboğlu, expressing that they’ve always felt the support of Mehmet Erdoğan, said; “Our dear MP always supports, encourages the services we try to give to our city. Naksan Plastik wins Gold Package Award  for its “Soil Fresh” fresh vegetable and fruit packaging material in the 24th Gold Package Contest organized by the Turkish Standards Institute (TSE) and becomes the pride of our country and the plastics sector once more. Naksan is also a candidate of WPO’s World Star Contest held in a different country every year; which will be held in England this year.

Sadettin Turgut, the Managing Director of Naksan Plastik, emphasizing that the product is quite new for the market, says; “ We, as Naksan Plastik, always aim at being ‘the first’ in whatever we do and becoming the pride of our country and the citizens of Gaziantep. Thanks to Soil Fresh, the producers and the consumers will have healthier fruits and vegetables which last for a longer time. The products shall keep first day freshness for approximately a month.”

In his explanations, Naksan Plastik’s Managing Director Korkut brings forward the points below:

“30-40% of fresh fruits and vegetables harvested in our country are rotten before they can reach the shelf.  Soil Fresh is a very special product developed to extend the shelf life of fresh fruits and vegetables. The R&D work we have carried out has eliminated the factors which cause rotting. By this property of preventing rotting, our Soil Fresh keeps the products it contains fresh for a month; on condition that they’re packed right after harvesting” and completes by saying; “ By the courtesy of this product, which is a significant innovation for packaging industry, producers and consumers will have healthier fruits and vegetables which last for a longer time; as a result our producers will be happy”.

Acording to the İSO 500, Capital 500 and Fortune 500 evaluations; the Naksan Holding Companies are uptrending. Naksan Plastik and Royal Halı kept growing in 2010 too, becoming Gaziantep’s pride.

Naksan Plastik and Royal Halı, which have great shares in employment and industry  are uptrending on İSO 500, Capital 500 and Fortune 500 lists with respect to previous year.

In “Top 500 Industrial Enterprises” research carried out by İstanbul Chamber of Industry (İstanbul Sanayi Odası-İSO); 2 firms of Naksan Holding are present. In this research based on the data of sales from production in 2010, Naksan Plastik Enerji Sanayi & Ticaret A.Ş. is in the 129 th place and Royal Halı holds the 439 th.

In Fortune’s research, Naksan Plastik Enerji Sanayi & Ticaret A.Ş. has the 152 nd place and  Royal Halı is in the 400th. Naksan Plastik gets the 182nd place in Capital 500 by its growth rate of 20%.

According to the results of research carried out by three different establisments; Naksan Plastik Enerji Sanayi & Ticaret A.Ş. keeps its place as the top plastic packaging firm of Türkiye.

According to İSO’s research on ”Türkiye’s top 500 Industrial Enterprises”, based on the data of sales from production in 2010, this year two subsidiaries of Naksan Holding acquire better places compared to  previous year: Naksan Plastik Enerji Sanayi ve Ticaret A.Ş. rises to the 129 th place from 138th;  Royal Halı which was the 466th on the list last year is the 439th this year. According to these results, Naksan Plastik Enerji Sanayi ve Ticaret A.Ş. keeps its position as the top plastic packaging firm of the sector.

The Fortune 500 list, which determines the top 500 enterprises of Türkiye for the 2010, is declared by Ali Ağaoğlu (Fortune-Türkiye Executive Editor) and Selim Seval (Chairman of Board of Finar/D&B). The results show that Naksan Plastik A.Ş. keeps its top position in plastics sector.

According to the results of the research based on 2010 data, the subsidiaries of  Naksan Holding; Naksan Plastik A.Ş. and Royal
Halı are on Türkiye’s   top 500 enterprises list. It is declared that based on 2010 net sales data, Naksan Plastik A.Ş. 2010 gets the 152 nd place and Royal Halı the 400th. By this achievement, Naksan Plastik ve Enerji Sanayi Ticaret A.Ş. keeps its title of
“the top plastic packaging firm” in the sector and becomes the common source of happiness of Gaziantep citizens. Employing the most developed world technology, Naksan Plastik attracts attention with the diversity of the packaging materials
it produces. Royal Halı which became one of the most important rug brands in the world shortly after its establishment, by its high quality and diversity of products, keeps being the most widely preferred brand among its competitors.

According to Fortune’s Türkiye 500 research, the top 500 enterprises increased their net sales by 28%; to an amount of 452.8 billion TL. Fortune 500 enterprises increased their export volume by 24.2%, their net profit by  22.2 % and employed 117 232 new workers last year.

The Managing Director of Naksan Plastik ( a Naksan Holding subsidiary)   adettin Korkut declares that by implementing TSE ISO 10002 Customer Satisfaction Management System in plastics sector, they become the first and only firm in Türkiye and Gaziantep in this respect and are very proud about that.

“Naksan Plastik was the first firm to produce oxo-biodegradable bags in 2006 and we’ve been keeping on with it since then. We  eceived TSE Gold Packaging Award for this product. As Naksan, we made a merit of contributing to nature and to a clean environment. Naksan presents completely degrading and nontoxic products to market. The degradable plastic material produced with special additives is converted to strong bags designed to carry clothing, supermarket products etc. The products mentioned are reusable and can be utilized as garbage bags in the end. They are recyclable at any point of degradation.

After disposal in landfills they completely degrade within 12-24 months by the impact of oxygen, heat and mechanical stress. Even when randomly disposed, they degrade within 12-24 months by the impact of sunlight and mechanical stress. Please note that no harmful or toxic material is produced in the process.

Materials of plastic origin have become indispensable elements of life today. Plastics, regarded as the “material of the 21st  entury”, are in our lives by their many advantages such as being user friendly, lightness, flexibility, workability, recyclability and economy. It’s claimed that plastics contaminate the environment. Contamination is the result of human behavior, however. We hould take precautions against those who throw plastic bags, bottles and other packaging material into seas or the  nvironment; we should create social awareness on the subject. It’s not a right approach to accuse plastic material for “uncontrolled
use” and random disposal to nature. The right place for them is not the environment after all and they can’t reach there by  hemselves. People should feel more responsible in this respect. For this reason, it’s extremely important to improve eco- onsciousness of society and teach the importance of recycling to people. In our country, the most important problem is the lack of
sufficient awareness. As a result of this, “classification at source” of the waste material is not possible and recycling cannot be widely practiced. Municipalities have great liabilities on this matter.”
